zanima sto mislite da mi je bolje za uzeti

CPU AMD Athlon64 3400+, Newcastle, 512KB, Socket 754, box
ili
CPU Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz 1MB Cache, 540J,LGA 775-pin BUS 800 MHz BOX

graficka
VGA nVidia GeForce 6600 ASUS, N6600, 256MB, DVI, TV-Out, AGP 8x, retail
ili
VGA ATI Radeon X600XT ASUS, 128MB, DVI, TV-Out, PCI Express, retail

komp bi koristio za vecinom za cs,CAD...

Proc: možda umjesto Newcastlea > Winchester i socket 939

Graf: X600 nije loša, no razmisli o X700, par sto kuna više, ali 4 pipelinea više nicu za baciti.

definitivno socket 939, nemaš šta razmišljati. to, naravno u kombinaciji sa nForce 4.

kod grafičke, nemoj gledati ono što više memorije to bolje, to gotovo uvijek nije pravilo zato što proizvođači stavljaju više memorije sa sporijim odzivom (radi uštede na cijeni, fkors).
nije mi jasno kaj će ti bijesne 3d grafičke za cad?

ma dobro cad je ono izmedju ostaloga....ne znam jedino kako vrsta graficke utjece na Catiu, proEngineer...da li si mozda upoznat sa time?

Pa poboljšanje performansi ćeš eventualno osjetiti kod manipulacije sa objektima unutar viewportova dotičnih aplikacija, pogotovo kod većeg broja objekata koje ćeš rotirati, zoomirati i sl. Eventualno rendanje je posao za proc, memoriju, perverzarije poput PCI rendercardova...

ono sto mi nije jasno je to sto amd-ov proc ima 2.4Ghz,1600 BUS i 512 kb cacha dok intelov 3.2Ghz, 800 BUS i MB cacha...zapravo mi nije jasno od kolike je vaznosti BUS i cache i sto je od toga vaznije za rad u recimo cs-u?

p4 se nemoze mjerit sa A64 :) (a atlon jeftiniji, go figure) naravno vincester uzmi a ne njukastl. Pikni dfi il msi gf4 plocu, il gf3 ako oces agp... preporucam mozda gf4 + pci express grafulju. Giga rama, 2x512 jer na athlonu64 dual ram eksuli radi, za razliku od athlona starijih. (ram ti preporucam da uzmes transcend ako ces jeftiniji, a skuplji corsair il kingston)
Grafulja je kao tu negdje, mada ja preferiram nvidiju radi drajvera.

Najbolji izbor tih komponenti imas u www.nitel.hr i www.links.hr
