Ja bih htio startati .exe datoteku na običnom hostingu. Da je cijelo vrijeme otvorena. Je li to moguće? Ako nije recite koji još načini postoje da se to napravi besplatno.

"Običan" hosting je obično unix/linux hosting - dakle, no .exe for you

Da pokreneš windows aplikaciju na serveru treba ti windows hosting, te potrebna dopuštenja (ovisno o vrsti aplikacije)

Što taj .exe radi?

mislim da je jednom maratz dobro rekao nesto u smislu "objasni STO zelis napraviti, a ne KAKO to zelis napraviti" pa ti mozda netko pomogne.

zelim pokrenuti exe datoteku koja pokrece server za igranje online jedne multiplayer igre. Kopirao sam fileove. Samo trebam neki kod koji bi to pokrenuo da se run-a. Idem pitati njih nek mi pokrenu ako mogu.
Mozda znate neki besplatni Windows hosting, ja trazim a nista da nadem..

riječi "besplatno" i "Microsoft" ne idu skupa Confused

čak i da nađeš, host ti neće dopustiti da pokreneš program koji sluša portove i ponaša se kao server... nećeš imati potrebne permissione

Ovega, ako sam te dobro shvatio...
kad sam pisao source u PHP za otvaranje (zatvaranje) porta na LPT-u imao sam isti taj problem. (Ako si zainteresiran, mogu ti ga dati.)
Dakle, postoji neka datoteka lptout.exe u koju šaljem neke parametre to ti izgleda ovako (nekako):
system("c:\lptout 1");
ALI naj(bitnija-jadnija) stvar u cijeloj toj priči je to da ja vrtim apache na win platformi, pa...

ako ti treba host s takvim karakteristikama, slobodno javi.
